Bachelor party is the type of event everyone is always looking forward to. In the movies, it is represented as this crazy night (or a few nights) where everyone is getting wasted and a lot of unpredictable happenings occur. And the next day you have no idea what happened.
So, when organizing the bachelor party, the best man has a lot on his hands. Many expectations need to be met, especially the groom’s expectations. Whether you are traveling somewhere or staying at home, some fun bachelor games can always be added to your schedule.
Drinking games
The main activity at the bachelor party is usually drinking. But, just sitting and sipping your drink can get boring after some time. In case you want to liven up the party a bit, you can try some of these drinking games:
- Shot Roulette
This is a great warm-up game if you are planning to hit the club and you want a short drink first. For this game, you’ll need to have a roulette wheel that has shot glasses that go around the wheel. Fill these up with different types of drinks and every guest should spin the wheel and drink the contents of the appropriate glass. There are also other variants of the rules by which you play, or you can even make up your own.
- Drunk Jenga
If you like the classic Jenga than you must love this one also. You’ll need Jenga blocks but this time you should write rules on them. You can come up with all sorts of ideas for the rules, such as – drink two shots, name five things in a certain category or drink, have someone of your choice take a shot, etc. After that set up your Jenga blocks and you are ready to go.
- Thumper
This game challenges your speed, memory, and concentration, especially if you are drunk. Every person should choose their sign or motion before they start. Try memorizing everyone’s signs. Then everyone thumps at the table and the person who starts first does their sign and then immediately after, the sign of someone else. Then the person whose sign was chosen does their sign, then someone else’s. The person who makes a mistake or takes to long to react drinks.
- Straight face
This one is quite simple. Everyone should write down on a piece of paper a sentence that is funny for some reason. After that, you mix the papers and each player pulls one and needs to read it without laughing. If you laugh, you drink.
- Buzz
This may sound simple, but believe me, it can get hard, even when you are sober. You sit in a circle and each player starts counting a number, but when you get to number 7 or its multiples you must say buzz. You know what happens if you miss.
- Flip Cup
Another game that is a great warm-up. Divide your crew into two teams and each team should be on the opposite side of the table. Have your drinks in front of you and when the game starts the first person in both teams starts drinking and when they finish, they flip their cup. This is a sign that the next person in the team should start drinking and then do the same. The team which finishes their drinks first is the winner.
- Dice drinking games
If you have dice in your house and you wish to get drunk easily many games can help you with that. Some of these games are: Three man, Skull and dice, 7-11 Doubles, 2 Dice, and many more.
- Card drinking games
You don’t have any dice, but you have a deck of cards? Even better! Here are games you should try: Circle of death, Pyramid, Indian Poker, Kings, etc.
- Beer Pong
We must mention this favorite party game of all time. Put ten plastic cups on each side of the table, arranged in a triangle shape. Each cup should have some beer in it (not too much!). Split into two teams and each member of the team should try to throw a ping pong ball into one of the cups at the opposite side of the table. If he succeeds, the member of the other team should drink beer from that cup. The team which eliminates all the cups from the opposite side of the table wins.
Conversation and Bonding Games
If you want guests to get to know each other or maybe get to know each other better, we have some games for you. These games can also include drinking.
- Most Likely
In this game, you ask each other ‘most likely’ questions, such as “Who is most likely to get into a fight?” or “Who is most likely to get arrested for walking around naked?”. When someone asks a question, you count to three and then everyone points a finger at a person they think is most likely to do that. Try to think of questions that are funny and weird, there are many ideas you can find online.
- Never Have I Ever
Say something you have never done, for example, “Never have I ever stolen something”. All the others who did that should drink. Through this game you can hear many embarrassing stories that people never shared before.
- 20 Questions
Split into two teams, except one person. The chosen person should think of some kind of object or something similar and then each team has the right to ask max twenty questions about the object and to guess what it is. One team asks one question and then the other team takes a turn. The team which guesses the word first wins.
- Truth or Dare
Another classic. You know the rules, choose carefully.
- Two Truths and One Lie
This is a great game if people don’t know each other well. Each person should tell two truths and one lie about themselves and the others need to guess which one is a lie.
- Fact or Fiction
Similar to the previous game, but now you should not talk about yourself, but of some random facts. You should tell just one and others need to guess if what you told is a fact or something you made up.
- Would You Rather?
Be creative and think of two choices for the guests. For example, ‘would you rather be hairy or completely bald?’ and then others need to answer and explain why.
App games
Nowadays, mobile apps facilitate our lives in many ways. Even when it comes to parties, if you don’t have any cards or games, or you can’t come up with fun ideas, these apps will help you keep your party going:
- Heads Up
You can play this with paper cards or you can download the app. You hold your phone against your forehead and on the screen there is a word from one of the categories, such as animals, celebrities, etc. Your friends try to explain the word to you and you should guess as many words in the limited time given.
- Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Everyone has watched this show at least once in their life. Let’s not lie, we all imagined being there and answering the questions, and maybe even taking home the big prize. Now you can challenge yourself and see how good you are. The best way is to split into teams so that the game is more competitive and fun.
- Bomba Drink
Again, you have questions but this time you should answer individually. If you give the wrong answer or take too long, the bomb will go off and you will need to drink as a punishment.
- Psych!
Similar to ‘Cards against humanity’ game, but on your phone. Everyone should come up with a fake answer to one of trivia questions. One of the players needs to guess the real answer among the fake ones. If he gets the answer right, he gets the points.
- Sing! Karaoke
If you are in the mood for some singing you can go to a bar that hosts a karaoke night. But if you are too lazy to do that, you can download this app. It offers many songs with lyrics and it will, most certainly, help you create a great karaoke atmosphere at home.
Unique Card Games
Every day on the market you will discover more and more card games and they get better every year. These games can be a bit inappropriate and that is why they are a great bachelor party material!
- Cards Against Humanity
In this set, you’ll have black and white cards. One player should ask a question from a black card and other players answer with one of their white cards. The answer that is the funniest gets a point. The winner is a player who has most points.
- Search History
On each card there is one of the Internet’s strangest searches but without the last few words. Each player has to write down their guess on how the phrase ends. For example, ‘do married couples still…’. Here you will hear all the fun and weird things people have on their mind.
- Bad People
These cards have questions on them such as ‘who gets paid too much for what they do?’ or ‘who will be the most difficult old person to be around?’. This is best for the crew that knows each other well, but we warn you- you may discover what your friends really think about you!
- Loaded Kings
Disclaimer: A drinking game. This game is similar to Kings Cup, Ring of Fire, and Circle of Death. The game is simple because on each card you have directions you should follow. Also, cards are waterproof so even if you spill your drink they will be fine.
- Fear Pong
Do the same set up as for the beer pong but with one slight change- put one card under each cup. These cards contain dares. If the ball lends into your cup you either have to do the dare (and you can keep the cup) or you have to drink.
Outdoor games
Take your party outside if the weather allows you. You can enjoy some sun, your drinks and these fun and engaging games:
- Cornhole
For this, you’ll need to have two cornhole boards that you can purchase online or make your own DIY boards. You’ll also need eight bean bags. Each player aims to throw the bag into a hole. There are more rules that you need to follow, which you can find online.
- Beersbee
Place two poles around 25 feet apart and on each place a bottle. Divide into teams, and then people should take turns throwing the Frisbee and trying to knock down the bottle from the pole. The other team reduced the points of that team if they can catch the bottle before it hits the ground. If you miss the bottle, drink!
- Ring Toss
This is an easy game to make yourself or you can buy the sets on the Internet. You should place bottles close together and then each player throws a ring that should land on the neck of the bottle. If you succeed you get the bottle as a prize.
- Capture the Flag
If you are interested in a bit of running around and getting the crew more active, try this game. This is a classic game so you most probably know the rules already. Divide into two teams and each team should hide their flag (one part of the flag has to be visible). When the game begins, one team try to find the other team’s flag (and vice versa) as fast as possible, without being caught by the other team.
- 500
The only thing you need is a ball. Choose one person to be a thrower and the rest of the players should stand on the opposite side of him. Before throwing the ball, the player should say the number of points and ‘dead or alive’. Alive means that the ball should be caught in the air and dead on the ground. The player who scores 500 points first is the next thrower.
- Sports games
If you don’t want to come up with any new games, you can stick to the games you usually play with guys. That can be basketball, soccer, baseball, etc.
Bonus Ideas
- Scavenger hunt
This is a perfect game to play at a pub or a club. Make a list of things, such as: what you miss about being single, do a body shot on a woman, take a shot every time you receive a phone call from your girlfriend/wife, get a lap dance from a stranger, get a free drink,… For each item on the list you get a certain number of points. The winner is the player who has the most points.
- Party rules
Come up with certain rules that need to be followed during the party. A rule can be that you can’t use your cell phone or you can’t say a certain word. If you break the rule you get punished. Punishment can be that the person needs to do something embarrassing or maybe just take a shot, you choose.
- Charades
Another classic game. Think of a movie or book title, or a celebrity name. Then you need to pantomime and act out that word/name/phrase and other guests need to guess what it is.
If you are celebrating for more than one day, you can incorporate as many games as you like to your party plan. These games will keep the party going and keep the guests in good spirits. We hope you’ll enjoy and try them all!
